Visiting Twin Cities

The Winter Flower Show at Marjorie McNeely Conservatory signals spring is coming to Minneapolis and southern Minnesota. The seats at the Target Center soon empty as the Minnesota Timberwolves 2013-2014 season gives way to spring baseball. The MLB Minnesota Twins open the 2014 season April 7th at Target Field, with the Saint Paul Saints opening with an exhibition game on May 8th.

GMADA, the Greater Metropolitan Automobile Dealers Association, presents the 2014 Twin Cities Auto Show March 8th through 16th. A definite must-see for automobile enthusiasts. If you’re in the market for a car, the Minneapolis Convention Center is a one-stop shop during the auto show. See the latest luxury vehicles on Luxury Lane, have an off-road experience at Camp Jeep, and bring in your child seats for a check.

The 2014 Northwest Sportshow fills the Minneapolis Convention Center on the heels of the auto show, March 26th through 30th – just in time to get ready for spring and summer activities, visit the Sportshow to see the latest gear and equipment for your favorite outdoor activities. Produced by the National Marine Manufacturers Association, the show features a trout pond, the fly fishing discovery, and the popular Ducks Unlimited room.

Twin Cities film buffs, mark April 3rd through 19th on your calendars for the 2014 Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival. Hosted at St. Anthony Main Theatre – home of The Film Society of Minneapolis St. Paul – the film festival features the latest worldwide cinema. Along with film screenings, enjoy panel discussions, parties, and networking with film making professionals.

Minnesota’s Festival of Nations is the largest multicultural event in the North Star State. The 2014 Festival of Nations is May 1st and 2nd at the Saint Paul RiverCentre. The 2014 theme is Peace Among the People, which drives the art for the Art Slam on May 3rd.

Welcome summer in Saint Paul at the 2014 WaterFest. Join friends and family at Lake Phalen in St. Paul, to enjoy the WaterFest Parade, boating and fishing on Saturday May 31st. Celebrate the Land of 10,000 Lakes' clean, refreshing waters.
