Fergus Falls welcomes the return of one of its most beloved annual events on June 11th. Summerfest 2016 is a huge community party, filling downtown with parade floats, arts and crafts, live music, local food offerings, and plenty of activities just for the little ones. The fun gets underway at 9 a.m. and, best of all, it’s free.
Music is in the air over Red Wing on July 16th. The 2016 Rolling River Music Festival promises a day full of performances from an eclectic array of local and big-name musicians at the Central Park Band Shell. Check listings as the date draws near for lineup and headliner announcements – and make sure pack your blanket or lawn chairs.
The arts are alive in Grand Marais, and the 2016 Grand Marais Arts Festival is proof. On July 9th and 10th, the festival showcases the works of more than 75 area artists, artisans, and craft makers at Harbor Park, inviting visitors to gain a deeper understanding of artists’ processes through demonstrations and hands-on activities. The free fun goes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
Duluth is a great place to celebrate our nation’s independence this year. On July 4th, the 2016 Fourth Fest packs Bayfront Festival Park with an evening of family-friendly fun, culminating in one of Minnesota’s biggest fireworks displays. It all starts at 5 p.m. and admission is free.
