Visiting Minnesota

This winter in Minnesota, visitors will find an array of excellent things to see and do. Whether you explore the far north and cities like Grand Marais and Duluth, to the some of the more southern cities like Albert Lea and Mankato, you’ll no doubt find just the thing to entertain the whole group. Festivals, events, concerts, and premier attractions – Minnesota is the place to be this winter.

In the city of Bemidji, air travelers will no doubt land at the Bemidji Regional Airport, and plenty of guests enjoy touring the campus at Bemidji State University. Bemidji’s Sanford Center is easily northern Minnesota’s premier event and expo center – check it out during you stay.

Make sure your visit to Bemidji is slated for early December. Visit The Bemidji Theater on December 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for an evening of excellent opera performances. You’ll have a chance to see The Three Tenors Christmas starting at 7 p.m. each night.

Don’t miss out on the concert event of early 2017 in Bemidji. Make plans to see Andy Martin and Corey Christiensen perform live on stage at the BSU Beaux Arts Ballroom – members of the Bemidji Jazz Quartet will join them on stage. Martin is one of premier trombone players around, and Christiansen isn’t far behind on the guitar.

Any winter visit to Minnesota should include a stay in Duluth. Known for its advantageous location right along the banks of Lake Superior, Duluth is a premier winter ski destination. Hit the slopes at the Chester Bowl Ski Area this winter in Duluth for an exceptional day on your skis. After a full day on the slopes, be sure to check out the Fitger Brewing Company for an exceptional craft brew.

Visit the DECC Arena in Duluth on January 11th for an extraordinary evening of comedy and more. Known across the globe for his unique combination of stand-up comedy and ventriloquism, Jeff Dunham brings his show to the stage starting at 7:30 p.m.

Early 2017 in Duluth will also mean one of the premier sportsman expos is back in town. Visit the DECC Arena from February 15th to 19th for the 2017 Boat, Sports, Travel and RV Show.
